HOW IT WORKS
THE PROCESS
Pre Session Questionnaire
Once you have decided that you’re ready to take the next step towards getting beautifully crafted pictures, we invite you to fill out a pre-session questionnaire when you book a shoot with us. This is so we can get to know you and your unique personality as well as gauge your expectations in order for us to provide you with the best experience possible. This pre-session questionnaire consists of asking you about your favorite hobbies and activities, any special locations at which you’d like your pictures taken, any must have special shots, editing preferences, and anything else you’d like to share. This questionnaire makes for a smooth and hassle-free shoot as well as allow us to scout your location for the best spots prior.
Photo Session
This is your time to shine! Your session will last between 1-2 hours depending on the package you get as well as availability of natural light. I will guide you through poses and walk you through the scouted spots that make for the best pictures.
Digital Proofs
Within about 2-3 weeks after the shoot, we’ll meet again so you can view your photos on screen and pick your favorites to be further edited and retouched as needed. This will also give us an opportunity to discuss any prints, album or photobook design, and retouching.
Delivery
Within about 2 weeks after the viewing appointment, we’ll have your edited digital images ready via online gallery. If you purchased any prints, we will notify you as soon as they are ready and hand deliver them to you!

Not only are they snapshots of who you are during a period of time in your life, they’re also snapshots of someone’s son or daughter, father or mother, grandfather or grandmother, aunt or uncle, friend and family member. The clock keeps ticking, life carries on, but images last forever. Investing in portraits not only allow for you to get a great profile picture for social media, but it also allows your friends and family to cherish you even whenever you may not be there to reminisce with them.
This sentiment is foundational to us here at John Carlo Productions, and we fully commit to providing you with the best experience we can. We use high quality professional grade camera equipment and employ expert techniques during your shoot. We expertly and meticulously edit each photograph using industry leading software and techniques. We do our best to craft an image you’re going to love, but if you find anything particularly lacking or you aren’t 100% satisfied, we will happily re-shoot, or retouch your pictures at no extra cost.
